How get it this "look"?? (betacam 80s look)

Thriller was shot on 35mm film. For the other stuff, shoot interlaced and desaturate in post.

BUT, the only real way to get the look is, like emoo said, shoot the real thing. Expecially when it comes to effects like in the second video. Nothing comes close to the cheezieness of those old analog FX.
 
if you dont want to buy a whole other camcorder, you can also run some footage through a VCR like 20 times and really get a "back to basics" video feel.
 
good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

Also, you can probably find some dirt cheap old analog video fx units and mixers and junk that would really bring the cheese factor.
