How far does the LCD display fold back?

This may sound like a silly question, but I remember seeing a photo somewhere of the DVX where the LCD display was folded back 180 degrees from the closed position so that the back of the display was flat against the user buttons. Mine flips out 90 degrees and sticks, and I'm afraid to force it farther. And it doesn't look like the hinge is designed to go all the way back. Perhaps the picture was of a 100 (I have the 100A)?

Turn it so the LCD screen is pointed towards the lens and see where it takes you.

I tried that, and it still sticks at 90 degrees. And if it did fold farther that way, the screen would be facing in towards the camera. The pic I saw has the screen facing outwards.

Okay

OPEN LCD while standing in the normal operating stance.

FLIP the LCD from TOP to BOTTOM so that the LCD Screen is pointed AWAY from you.

Now push LCD inwards against the Area it normally rests.

Thanks.

Specifically though, is it possible to fold it back against the user buttons? I'm not obsessed with doing that since your method obviously works. The real reason I'm asking: I'm wondering if it will break if you force it past 90 degrees or will it give without breaking, kinda like a car mirror. Again, I don't want to force it to find out. But I'm concerned that if I have the screen flipped out at 90 degrees and it gets bonked or my tripod gets knocked over, I'm going to have a broken LCD display. If it can't snap back like a car mirror, I'm just going to have to be more careful with it. If it can, it's one less thing to worry about. You know? :)

Ooohhh

Sorry for misunderstanding. The USER Buttons huh. I never tried :-/ :D

it shoudl fold back against the camera side so you (or asst) can see the screen. It has to be flipped in a certain order and yes you could break it if you forced it into a place it wasn;t designed to go. Car mirrors can break too if you pushed them forward or up/down.
