Regarding sound capture with the DVX100A . . .
I'm trying to determine the best configurations for the audio for my documentary film.
SETUP 1 (handheld, on-the-go shooting): Shotgun boom connected to Input2/Ch2. Simultaneously, Internal Mic/Ch1 for wild sound. It would be a combination to produce stereo from the boom AND the camera's mic.
SETUP 2 (interviews with tripod): Shotgun boom connected to Input 2/Ch1+Ch2
Does this sound plausible for getting good sound? Pluses, minuses? Should I use just the boom and not try to combine the boom and the internal mic? Any advice would be great and most appreciated.
Thanks,
