HPX250: How does the hpx250 handle news conferences and such...?

Currently I'm using my old HPX171 for shooting press conferences and such. Never updated it because of the CCDs.
But now I'm getting more and more displeased with the grainy image. Especially when I push the levels, which happens quite
often when shooting conferences and events. So I'm starting to think if maybe I should upgrade to the 250.
But I'm worried about the rolling shutter and the flashes from photographers who are always present in such events.

Does anybody have any experience regarding the 250 and flash photography? I know the 250 has some sort of a flash
compensation... How well does this work out?

This would really be a seamless upgrade, seeing as I can transfer both the batteries and the P2 cards from one cam to the other.

I find the compensation works very well. I shoot a lot of press conferences and events with the media and photographer's flash has never been a problem with the footage. The compensation works amazingly well in my case.

Thx for the feedback!:)

How does it look like? The camera exposes the rest of the frame or what?

Thx. Actually it was the HPX370 review that was more insightful.
But I would still love to see some examples of this.
It seems that it works if one flash goes of time to time, but what happens in a situation where there are multiple flashes firing in a rapid succession?
That's what I would like to find out:) Does the camera survive this or is it completely useless...?

I see footage with no FBC all the time. I do think its a question of the viewers accepting it or not. Here in Germany we have very picky viewers who have to pay a sort of radio+tv tax. I have yet to hear from massive protests because of no FBC. Its only an issue if stills are taken from the footage but otherwise I doubt the majority will notice it and complain to the tv station.
