How do you slow down 60p in FCP to get smoothe slow mo? I use premiere and I interpret the footage to 23.976 whihc gives me smoothe slo mo. My friend has FCP and slowed it down to 40% but it looks stroby/ not smoothe. He's like to know how to do it.

Make sure the sequence is set to 60 before you slow motion the clip. If you bring a 60fps clip into a 24 fps sequence it will convert it to 24, then your slow motion will look choppy.

If you have FCP, you should have cinema tools. Open cinema tools, cancel out of all the windows that pop up by default, then choose file/open clip and select the clip you want to change. When the clip is open select conform, and choose the frame rate you want. Remember, this is destructive, so make a copy of the clip in case you wish to use it later at normal speed.
