In the film You've Got Mail, how can I get a similar high quality image of the computer screen as they did?
I'm making a short film which involves filming a new 19" LCD computer screen, but I have found that shooting it close up (as required by the story) and in clear focus succeeds in drawing out the mesh-like surface of the LCD monitor, which is rather ugly and distracting.
Is the solution to lose a bit of focus, which helps quite a bit, but compromises the image sharpness. Could you please advise any suggestion on how to get the You've Got Mail look within the confinds of a LCD monitor and DVX100a camera.
Many thanks and regards,
Michael
