How do you make your colors?

I'm curious ... do you guys prefer shooting flat with a camera and then adjusting colors to achieve a film look in post or do you try to achieve what you can mostly in acquisition and adjust as necessary in post? Just would like to get a consensus of how people work here ...

I have done it in post up to the point. After buying Barry's DVX book and DVD, I am going to try and do more in camera.

Always do it in post. I can get much more natural results using flat footage run through Synthetic Aperture's Color Finess than I can from in camera. The very high bit processing does wonders.

I shoot for the purest image possible and then muss it up in Post. I have found it too time consuming to adjust in-camera, particulary as set-ups chnage and no use of a Prod Monitor.

Shoot pure. It gives you more options later and doesnt pigeon hole you into "Oh well; I guess were stuck with BLUE"
