How do you make money with HVX?

Hey I was reading some posts and I see a lot of "make money with your dvx/hvx,"
and I was wondering what you guys do to make money with your hvx/dvx.
There are many online contests, but the chances to make some money are slim.
Besides contests, I only can think of weddings to make a living.
What are you guys doing with your camera to make money?

I have my own company. I'm a cameraman and editor so I make beginning to end productions. I do a lot news (all dutch news stations) in the caribbean where I live. A lot of commercials and mostly and that is what I prefer to do is documentaries. I make good money with this all. But the thing is that I also edit so I can take a whole production.
I started soing this with a dvx and then I got HVX and I only shoot 720 24p for everything and downrez when needed (not for news gathering) so I have averything HD for future use.

Event coverage is what I do to make money. It's great b/c you don't have to set anything up other than trying to get into the event. You just show up and shoot and will usually work with other videograghers.

people have been making tons of money shooting video for decades. nothing changes with the hvx...?

feature film, commercials, industrials, event, news, infomercials, fine art, porn, training, you name it. but you have to go out and get the work. it wont just show up at your door as soon as you bring your camera home

Ain't that the truth, every bit of it! If all else fails, you could take your DVX, sneak up behind someone, club them with the cam and take their wallet.
