So you know that stock rgb cable that comes with the hvx? i was just wondering how would we extend that, i hope to do some car footage and would like to hook up my Marshall V-r70p-hda. Thanks for the help!

you can do it both ways.. you can use a barrel connector to connect a component cable extension to the end of yours and then use 3 bnc converters to go into the monitor... or you can put bnc connectors on the end of the cable like mentioned and then extend with bnc cable.

I prefer using compononent (RCA) connectors, as they are a little easier on whatever they are hooked up to if someone trips over them. Since they are used just for monitoring, I would prefer to have a cable come unplugged then pull a $2000 monitor across the room.

I dont think u can... The hvx doesnt have bnc connnector for taht monitor...looks like u wasted ur money...

You're right. The camera does not have a bnc connector...It has a cable for composite that splits off into the GBR bnc cables.

Yeah...I kinda wish the connection for the composite was a little more "solid." HD-SDI would have been nice...but I guess it was too costly, or the board just doesn't the design.
