I use FCP and do mostly 30 sec to 60 sec spots, I almost always use AE for my effects but the question that I want to ask editors here is how do you deal with say a 2 minute promo that has a lot of audio and dialogue and you want to add some effects in AE, I often find myself getting kind of in a mess because I lay everything out with the locked audio that I want and I then take to AE but lets say one transition or one cut is going to be a little longer than your original sequence that you originaly have in fcp so now that its got effects the audio is not gonna match in fcp, I hope you can understand what I am saying, basicaly do you do your visiual and audio version before making the effects or do you find yourself going back and foth with your fcp and AE, I am wondering how you guys work when you have a lot of effects and audio as well and lay everything down before doing anything
