I want to upload my 3:29 video onto vimeo.com, but as you know there's that 500mb limit (to non plus users) and my clip is 955mb!!! why so big? i made it 1280x720 and all the usual settings, but how do you guys compress your clips for streaming? I'm using PPCS4 by the way.

OMG LOL 955MB @@@@@@@

That is HUUUUUUUUGE dude. That video can be around 120mb or so with still very high quality for vimeo.

I'm a final cut users so I use Compressor to export... so I can't be exactly certain on what settings you should be doing but...

Look to compress your video using the H.264 codec.

Just export as 1280*720 5000k bitrate, two pass, and audio at 44,100. I can almost guarentee its the bitrate that is making it so big. When uploading to vimeo there is a point where added quality really dosen't do much more than give you a headache from waiting for the huge file to upload 5mbps is plenty ;)

could be your audio as well. i usually set it for aac 128 when compressing for vimeo and sometimes mono for smaller file size

i think it may be due to the fact i had it at 100% quality =X what do you guys normally keep it at?

100% quality means, it will take more time to render more quality, no change in size.
Size is only matter of bitrate - of both Video and Audio. If you keep your video at 5000Kbps(or less) and audio at 160Kbps, I think you will get what you want.
