How do I turn off the volume control for the headphone jack?

I can't seem to figure this one out. When I plug my headphones in, the volume adjust appears. How do I return to the main screen? After a bit it does return but I need to tun it off much quicker.

had that issue the whole time, only way is to press the menu button to remove it , but if you are recording that doesnt work , i dont see why it cant be fixed easily ?

Press in the scroll wheel that's used to control the volume. This will set the volume and remove the volume adjust display.
