how do I turn my Mac into a field Monitor ?

Yes I got a Mac book pro.
I got it about 3 months ago with everything on it ,so I can learn final cut pro
but am still doing all my editing on a PC
but I was thinking it would be cool to use this Mac for a Monitor.
