How do I set WB and get it to stay there?

So I'm in the room that I'm shooting it. I fill the screen with a white card that serves as a good representation of the lighting conditions. Now what?

I know on PRST, hitting AWB will just switch it between 32K and 56K. Now what do i need to do to adjust the white balance to a custom setting?

I'm aiming the DVX at a white card and I push the AWB button. It looks good for a while, then the color changes after a while. Why? What mode do the A or B setting have to be in for this to work correctly?

It's quite weird...

The colour should not change after setting de white balance... unless the light source is doing it. Sometimes the lights and lamps when lose power they become a lower color temp and in this case the white balance must be set again.

Keep this in mind

So tempting... But I won't say RTFM...

Yep, sounds like you've got ATW on in whatever (A/B) setting you're using.
