how do I play .mxf files?

Converted footage using the panasonic transcoder, p2 dvcprohd settings, I see it's converted it to a mxf file, but quicktime doesn't know how to play it.

oops sorry, I'm on a pc, can I just preview them before I put them in a NLE system?

I believe Panasonic has a program on their site for this. Look up 'P2 viewer'.
