How do I make $3000?

hahaha i cant even legally work yet.

Not true. There are tons of things you can do at your age to make money.

Event videography is relatively easy to get into. When I had just turned 15, I emailed every wedding videographer I could find in Austin to see if they could use a second camera operator. Out of about 30 emails sent, I had one serious response and I've been working for him a couple times a month ever since.

Once you stop beginning every thought with, "I'm 15, but..." you will notice that better things start happening.

You've clearly put a lot of thought into this... :)

I did put a lot of work into that list. :(

Sex sells if you are good at it.
Lemonade? Who doesn't like lemonade? Everyone likes lemonade.
Bake-sales? Everyone like cookies. And lemonade.
All that illegal stuff rakes in the cash -- but I don't condone breaking the law.

See the ideal situation is to have a bake sale. Then set up a lemonade stand and sell for a dollar a glass. Then across the street open another one with a different name and price it at .75 a glass. Spurring competition and still getting the money. The eat their cookie and want a drink. Dollar lemonade too expensive. But wait! Across the way is cheaper lemonade. Score one for monopolization of localized commodity.

But in all seriousness,

I started making money by Opening SNOWMAN winter care with my brother when I was like 12. We had four people to shovel snow for. Then we transitioned to mowing lawns.

Then I opened my paintball media company when I was 14. Made a few grand there.

And you have a computer with internet connection? Go to NYSE.com and watch stocks. Day trade. Could make a great deal - could lose a great deal.

hahaha yes you did, thank you for that extensive list! I'm going to apply to apple, but i was told i have to be 16 at least, and really prove my worth! We shall see! And at this point in the US stocks i bet i could get some for pretty cheap, my friend told me to buy from an insurance company called AIG? And get into all the banking stocks i can? Anyone wanna second that. he he.

If you want to get into stock trading, don't listen to your friends. Even experts are often wrong.

My dad's friend does full-time stock trading, and he made $30,000 yesterday, but he often loses that much in a day. That's a business I could never get into.

i was joking about my friends telling me about those companies, specially since AIG was a huge problem yesterday. As well as banks.

Well something to really look at is Lehman Brothers. Dunno if it will disappear or not. Which if it did would be a huge issue if you invested now.

I asked my dad and im actually not even allowed to do any stock transactions. We are only allowed to like in a certain month since he works for business news. I guess to prevent insider trading? Sounds stupid to me.

There are CEO's younger than you so you need to bid some work, find some work, web work, video work, still work but some kind of work. It is out there and you can do it with a little networking on your side. There are a lot of people here and probably around where you live that are always willing to help and sub bid work from you to help you out and you can be paid for the parts that you can do and make a commission and profit on the job.

Good luck!

The question should not be What can I do to make $3000 dollars? It should be How can I create $3000 dollars worth of value for the world to pay me for? It really is quite simple look inward evaluate your skills, willingness, sales ability, talent, and passion and go out and sell it. There are plenty of household jobs out there that people do not want to do.
At 15 I'd start there ask your parents what you can do around the house. At 15 I painted houses to make money. I cut grass. I cleaned peoples garages. Hauled garbage I was WILLING to do whatever was needed to earn. Most 15 year olds don't want to do actual work. Then I thought to myself what SKILLS do I have that can make me money so I Taught Guitar Lessons, Bought candy wholesale and sold Retail at school. Saved a little money and bought music gear real cheap off people who needed money. Turned around and sold on ebay for profit. I guess what I'm saying is you already have everything you need to make $3000 and much more. Put an add on craigslist teaching people FCP or AE.
That has value. Please don't go and beg for a job at apple store and become a minimum wage slave. You have so much more value to offer. Your time is worth more

The simple answer is: You don't need $3000. You want $3000. Buy a PC and a copy of Vegas and work your ass off until you can afford what you want.:)
