how do i go about renting my HVX?

im trying to make a few extra bucks off my HVX now that I'm finished using it on my feature. I dont want to sell it, so whats the best way to go about this? Is it worth it? are there hassles involved...headaches? if so, what are they?
 
Yup! Make sure that if you rent it you have your own insurance and that the people you rent it out to have insurance in case they damage your camera. Make sure you have a proper rental contract that is legally binding should you have a problem. Very few people ever treat your gear the way you would, so you have to protect yourself. It only takes one mishap that costs you out of pocket (even when you think you are doing someone you know a favor) to change the way you do business.

I rent my stuff out but usually go along as a camera tech or AC. That way I know if they are mistreating it and you can use personal/renters insurance to cover any damages or loss. Good way to get your face around town too if your looking to get hired down the road.

Business insurance is more expensive but my renters insurance which covers loss/damaged/stolen equipment would cover it as long as I'm present.
