How do I get that "smeared" look?

Hi guys,
I'm shooting some Vettes racing today & I wanted to try getting that "smeared" look.
I'll be shooting at 720/60p. I'm not sure of adjusting my shutter speed is correct. If so,
What # should I set it for to get that look?

Hi there have you got an example of the 'Smeared look'?
Are you talking motion blur?
Have you got a pic?
 
Well not quite sure what your after, however I did some tests shooting the same movement and scene with

1/25
1/60
1/120
Shutter speeds
however this was in 720PN
1/25 produced motion blur, blurry backgrounds
1/60 produced a small amount of blur not much really, relatively normal
1/120 produced a sharp image kind of that sharp shutter speed movement you see on saving private ryan etc (kind of)...
 
Are you asking how to create the effect where headlights and tail lights streak through the scene? If so, I am about to embark on a project that requires one shot like that and would also like to know how to accomplish it.

Any help is appreciated.
