How do I disassemble top panel??

I was out on a whale-watching shoot yesterday and experienced some saltwater damage to my camera. I need to get under the volume control button to clean it out but when I removed all the screws the plastic panel was still stuck to the camera. Has anyone out there had any luck disassembling this part of their FS100?

I'd send it in to Sony. I recently sent mine in to get a new sensor unit, really fast turn around, and they didn't charge a penny. They even sent it back 2 day shipping at no charge.

I ended up just leaving the panel on and flushing a pipette's worth of distilled water through the volume and record button (with the battery removed, obviously). It's now sitting out to dry upside-down. Once it's done drying I'll see if the problem is fixed. If not, I'll send it in to Sony. Thanks for the advice!

Next time go to your local big box hardware/homeware store and get a box of these:

Get a bicycle tub and cut some 3/4" wide bands out of it or larger if you need and put the camera in the bag and seal it, cut a hole for the lens and if you have to run and xlr and headphone tape the ziplock where they enter. Cut a hole for the lens that has a UV filter on it and cheap lens hood and use the rubber band to secure the bag to the lens.
Warranty work on salt water damage would seem unlikely to be free...but I could be wrong.
