How do I delete everything on the P2 card?

It's an HPX-170. Can I just reformat it or is that bad for it? Can I delete from my PC as if the camera is an external hard drive? I've been just refomatting but was wondering if this was an okay way to do it.

They are like Etch-a-sketch toys you shake them to erase them.

Seriously any of those options would work. I prefer to reformat mine in camera. You are doing just fine.

Formatting the cards is the best way to clean them off.
