Strange question but I shot in the middle of the Zia Pueblo desert of New Mexico a couple of weeks ago in the middle of a dust-storm. There is no amount of covers and protection to use to prevent dust from getting inside. everything was coated, matte-box, follow focus, Letus everything.
Stupidly I rented the lenses but used my own camera!! Never again!
Anyway, I have cleaned out everything that comes apart - the mate box, filters, Letus are all clean. But there is dust inside the HVX. I initially add problems switching the zoom from Servo to Manual. This had loosened up but I can feel the dust as it operates. I am also getting fixed particles on the lens of the HVX. Not the Letus - this is clean, it is definitely on the HVX.
How do I clean this out? What is the best way or is there somewhere I can send it.
Surprisingly I asked B&H if they could clean it or could recommend a cleaner and they had no idea!! If anyone here has any suggestions you could save me a great deal of "I told you so's" from the wife!!!
thanks so much!!
