How do connect to Windows PC and not MAC

OK so I need RGB cables for the television after searching for hours for my other pair... So will need to buy them...but how would I connect to PC? Is the DV1394 only for Mac's?
I need to either buy a DV Cable or the RGB leads that dont allow me to capture to computer :(

I've only just returned home from my 4 1/2 month travelling in hostels so only just found this out... i want to get to the shops in the next hour so any help appreciated :)
 
Firewire (1394) will be what you need. Check to see if you need the 4pin to 4pin or the 4pin to 6pin though.

Your DVX has a 4pin hole... is your computer's bigger? Rectangle with a little curve on one end. Not to be confused with USB!!

Thanks Captain :)...I will go out to microdirect and get the 4 pin with pcmi card for my laptop...I will be buying a computer for the final piece but for making trailers and seeing what the camera looks like I will try the laptop so with your help I know which pins to get :)
