Hey guyz,

Well im still in my learning phase!!!and would like to know how you got to make this business work for you...im asking coz i'v been renting out my DVX cams but i just lost my biggest customer so just to get an eye opener i'd like to know how you made it/planning to make it

I got a lucky break and landed a fishing TV show...

It'll Last me throughout the year, and it's not full time so it's great to give me time to work on my own projects.

Started last year, and continuing this year.

Of course, I'm on craigslist more than usual looking for filming/editing.

I haven't done the film school thing, so I plan on doing this on my own, will be tough, but I;m focused on it so I think I'll make it it through.

Plus, the move to Hollywood next year will help a lot to :)

After serving time at Shawshank - I mean, um... after working fr a few years in live broadcast (local news station, both live newscasts and EFP/ENG), I landed a job at a cable network based here in Knoxville. That opened up lots of doors in the freelance world when I left that job.

Futher Mucking Genius.

I've always said that the three best ways to make money are: 1) do something that other people don't know how to do, 2) don't possess the skill to do, 3) or don't want to do.

Distilled down... learn things others don't know, become skilled at those things, and then get the knee pads.
