Frame by frame by frame in Photo Shop or Paint Shop or whatever.

Or spend a gazillion dollars on a program that will do wire removal "automatically".

there are some plugins for After Effects that do a fine job. Im at work and not on my home computer or else I would tell you who makes them. A google search would give you the answer though.

Put the harness under clothes with the caribiners coming through holes cut in the wardrobe. If you don;t have someone doing wardrobe just put masking tape on the back side of the clothing where you score it to prevent it from fraying or popping open. Then you dont have to remove the harness just the wires using fast wire removal plug in that comes with AE.

Using rotoscoping and paint tools in an application such as After Effects or Shake will allow you to remove wires. The Foundry has a wire removal tool that does a good job on straight line and curved line removal, although in general some frame by frame cleanup will be necessary.

If at all possible, get a "clean plate" shot. That is the background without
the actor or the wires. That way you'll have a background which will appear
after you erase the wires.

The easiest way to get a clean plate involves locking the camera down
and shooting the scene immediately before/after the action.

If the background isn't changing too much, one of the easier things to do would be to paint a clean patch and track it in over the rigging.

If you have already shot it you can put in in photoshop frame by frame. If you haven't shot it yet when you shoot shoot above the harness, put the harness under the clothes, make the harness green and chroma key it out.
