well, asssuming the title track is an overlay track with a key ... ..simply apply the effect to the title track, and not the other tracks.

but when I use blur effect on title track V2 ,video on track V1 is blured too. why? i only want to blured track V2

promote the title to the 3D DVE and use defocus.

i think the avid effects with the system sucks, what I did was got boris continuum RT AVX and that has a blur effect which you can change the size, shape, and blur.

Did you try the title trick and resize the title box? does that work? and if not try putting the video as V2 and title as V1
