How can I tell if I recorded a tape in 24P or 24PA

After a break in my shooting, I did an equipment check and saw that my scene file dial is set to 5 instead of 6 like I thought it was on my last shoot. :o Now I'm worried that I accidentally shot my last tape on 5 accidentally. Does anyone know how I can tell? ???

And if I did shoot it on 24P, will I be able to merge it with 24PA in my editor (I'm using Premiere Pro 1.5)?

Thanks! :)

OK, I found the answer to my first question (sorry, the first time I did a search I didn't see it, but the second time I found a similar question answered. For those wondering what the answer is: Hitting the index button in VCR mode toggles the output so you can see if it's 24P or 24PA).

And I gathered from some other threads that the answer to my second question is, import 24P and 24PA footage as 24P, correct?
