How Can I Hook Up Two Monitors At The Same Time?

This may be a stupidly simple question... But I need to add a second monitor to my HVX for the director. I am currently using a Panasonic BT-LH80W monitor for myself. The problem is that it seems that the HVX disables all other video outputs when the component output is being used. So how could I connect a second monitor? Can it be something as simple as buying a y-cable for the component cable? Can the signal withstand being split? Does anyone have experience with this?
 
yeah, go to a radio shack or similar electronic store.

get the ones that splits into two or three, don't get big splitter boxes if you don't need them.
 
ive not used the BT-LH80W, but a lot of higher end (such as this) monitors, have a pass-thru feature...

This one unfortunately does not. :cry:

But besides that, it is a very nice monitor. I couln't live without the focus-in-red. It just makes using 35mm optics a breeze.
