In the first 17sec of this edit, it looks as if your looking at a roll of footage and the image is playing within that roll of footage... can someone please help me out how to figure out how to do this...im not positive but the person that edited this might have used fcp7... so maybe that could be it?. please anyhelp!

If you're just doing it for fun, then yeah...$49 might seem expensive for one effect, but if you were paying someone by the hour you'd look at how long it would take to make that from scratch vs the plug in and it be a real bargain. I don't even do After Effects full time, but enough to need some plug ins for certain jobs and so I've wound up spending a few grand on them in the past few years. All of it recouped rather quickly by clients who need those effects done.
