How can i convert thin footage to thick

Hello. I have material recorded in thin mode with my dvx100E.

Now, what is the best way to convert this video into "thick" images, so they look well in a standard TV monitor.

Thanks!

Add a slight blur to the footage. Experiment with it until you get a good balance between resolution and good TV playback.

Did you record your original in letterbox mode? If so, there is a convoluted way of getting rid of your "thin" artifacts that does not compromise the picture with a blur...

My footage was recorded at 4:3 but it will end cropped at 2:1.

Blurring the image looses too much quality.

Blending fields is the same.

In vegas 5, setting the anti-flicker gives also too much blur.

Any other way?

Yes, there is another way. You can uprezz it and it will get rid of all or most of your artifacts. See my post at the top of the Technical Section. Although this "side effect" was not my intention initially, I found that the thin artifacts I was experiencing in the original footage magically disappeared in the uprezzed version.
