How busy is everyone?

hmmm... i wish i were busy... just massaging people and dvxuser in between. just worked on the best playwrite in the business.
 
Full time job. Full time grad school load. And trying to edit THREE projects. And just got cast in a play.

Im an asshole.
 
Slammed to the floor here...Full time day job, the end of the year show production which gives rise to mino's all night rendering thread and my sci fest entry which, as always, is a way bigger bite than I can chew. Why can't I just choose a simple idea, something I could put away in a couple of weekends?:)
 
i have no life outside of movies and dvx. lol. its sad. haha jk. i'm not really busy though so i am here a lot but on the weekends i'm usually out somewhere with friends hangin out and havin fun.
 
I'm busy shooting lots of multi-camera sporting events, lately. I just returned from shooting an Oklahoma State University basketball game that was broadcast on Fox Sports SW. I will show up for my 6:00am crew call tomorrow as we shoot 7 little league football championship games in a row. It'll be a 16 hour day. No doubt... it's broadcast all over the state and it's a big freakin' deal.

Next week, I will be shooting a New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a Central Hockey League game and a High School Football Playoff game. The next week will be more Hornets and a National Reigning Horse show. Actually, I will be part of the camera crew for all of the Hornets home games.

My work is rather diverse in that I do a lot of live multi-camera stuff. But, I also do work for corporate clients that includes everything from still photography, business to business videos, and even 16mm and 35mm film shoots.

Man, Im sleepy...........
 
no wonder your tired.. above all that you have been ringing that bell 10 times a second straight for the last 6 months.

yea, same here, full time job (IT support), video projects (currently music vids and Nashville star entries) and a new car to work on. Shooting something today tho!
 
In the last couple of months i"ve shot two Extreme Makeover: Home Edition locations, worked the full time job at a productions house, and shot a live concert for up an coming band, Lovedrug(buy the cd) and working on a dvd for the band Norma Jean. I need a vacaction...Bad. I love it!

How does everyone get work? Did all of you go to school to work in the business? I am really interested in video editing. I am now on my second year of playing around. Would like to do some work to justify my time in front of the computer. Any suggestions are welcome.

I am also looking for a new video camera. I would like to film my boys sports games and also play around with making short movies.

I am sure I am not alone on this....I will be way busy then something comes along (for me it would be a DVX opportunity or a play) that offers much more pleasure than stress and I'll take it. Because I love it. But it's like putting another nail in the coffin. Good thing I LIVE with my girlfriend. Otherwise, I'd never see her...
 
I got back last night from shooting a video at the UN summit on Technology in Tunisia (that $100 laptop is pretty sweet). While there one project has turned into four. Plus some smaller thing here in Mini.
I even spent the flight back watching footage Jarred shot many months ago for a client. He is real, the sasquatch is even in a frame or two. The myth lives. Must catch up on sleep.
 
Very busy! Just finished working on a feature documentary. Working on two other industrial video projects right now. Plus my sci-fest film, which has turned into a major undertaking!
 
I'm busy, but it could be worse. I'm always up for more projects, even if that cuts into sleeping time. lol

I'm willing to work 18 hours a day.
 
I just found out that I'm going to heading to Mexico to shoot a short film on my very own DVX, then I'm shooting the pickups in L.A.... Then I'm shooting the L.A. footage for my SciFest short, then I'm going to St. Louis to shoot a film on the Panny SDX900, then shooting my SciFest short, then coming back to L.A. for five days to help my broheim (and fellow DVXUSER.com member) BrianV find an apartment, then I'm going back to Minneapolis for Christmas, then probably going to China.... then I'm going blow my head off. Someone, please help.
