how about this pistol grip w. trigger for Sony A7s???

Since the "record movie" button is so awkwardly placed on the A7s, if Sony has no plans for a firmware update that would allow that function to be mapped to the shutter button, couldn't it be solved with this type of pistol grip that is supposedly compatible with Sony cameras???

OK the listing says compatible with Sony Alpha cameras. So not sure if this would work with the NEX line.
And would it work in movie mode or just for "shutter release" in camera mode?

That connection in that pic isn't for the A7s. I think they make adapters though, not sure. The multi terminal port of the A7s looks similar to the micro HDMI port. The sony VPR1 remote does work and I've actually strapped it into my rig. Gives me an easy stop/start and also nice zoom control since I have a power zoom lens on it most of the time.
