Its a piece i put together. An Imitation of the grindhouse "old film look" effect, but with my shots and music only. No story, only art. please take a look and tell me what you think honestly. Thank You

generic filter?
or did you use real 16mm film footage, set the mode to "multiply" or "darken" in AE to remove the white?

Or did you do something other than that?

looks decent
 
I didnt use any in camera settings. all normal settings, although i crushed my blacks, with master pedestal. All done in post. I color corrected a lot haha.

im not sure what you mean hehe, can u elaborate a little bit more :)
 
thats a standard MB plugin-nothing special there
fuzzy lime/yellow cc was real nice.

Well as a demonstation of a visual style, it works great. As a short film, it was lacking. Even grading on a curve because its "art" it still seems a bit dull. It comes off as a bunch of friends just fooling around in front of the camera.
 
i see what you mean. Well not all the shots were us fooling around though. Some were meant to be shot for this purpose.
