Hours Until Head Cleaning?

Hey all,
Recently purchased a DVX with 97 hours on it off eBay for about $2,000. At what point should I clean the camera with the head cleaning tape? Just curious if there's a set hour, or do you do it before every film you do? Thanks.

I believe every 100-150 hours is good

And i heard its a good idea to use it if youre switching from one brand of tapes to another

Yep but if you have a repair center in your are ( like spec comm) get it done from a professional. Using the tape head cleaners are abrasive and should really only be used in emergency situations. Of course there are also instructions on this site telling you how to clean them yourself
