Hours on camera head, what's considered alot

How many head hours is considered alot, and too much to be worth buying a camera used?

Would around 400 hours still be considered low?

at 400 hrs u still have 1600 hrs as per dvx rating. Never heard anyone maxing it out though.

As long as the camera was taken care of then 400 is ok. there are less out there though.

Cool just curious i have found ones with less but i was wondering what's considered high, so is 2000 the max head hours then...?
 
People say 2000 hours is what you'll get. However, it's good to keep in mind that the DVX is unlike a car: when a car's engine is idling, it's odometer remains the same. On a DVX, if it's on and a tape is inside, its hour meter is rolling, whether one is recording or not.
 
Hey I didn't know it kept rolling!!!
Mine has 215 hours and I thought that seamed to be more than I used it.

BTW where do I sell mine???? I have :(
