Hours of Operation on Z1U

Hey gang,

Can someone explain to me the Hours Meter in the Z1?
Drum run, Tape run, Threading, etc.


Also, when do you guys recommend that I clean the heads?

When they are dirty. Excesive cleaning is not good for the heads.

I didn't think so. But I heard in a thread that Sony recommends that you clean them after every five hours of recording.
