Hey Does Anyone Know How To Read The Hour Meter On The Hvx200?

Does It Read And Count Hours When I Leave The Camera On, Without The Tape In?

Does It Count Hours With The Tape In And Playing/recording?

Does It Count When Its On Standby?

And If It Does, Does It Wear Out The Head As Well?

When The Camera Goes On Standby, Are The Heads Still Being Used?

Just Need To Know To Clarify Some Things. Anyone?

This is an ASSumption on my part but,
I think the hour meter is counting the entire time the camera is turned on. Our Beta cam has 2 meters. One for the time the camera is on and one for the time while the heads are spinning.

I would not recommend leaving the camera on for long durations with a tape in since the heads are spinning.

The heads are only spinning if you are in TAPE mode, not P2.

Even at that, you should never leave a tape in the drive for long periods.
