Hot Shoe light for D90?

I need a little portable light I could use .
What do you guys use in your Hot Shoes ?

Also how is the battery life once with the light on ?
I have the battery grip so I figure it should last for some time.

I called their local dealer in my town but I guess we are at Christmas and the boys are out.
 
If I'm lucky, I'll have one soon. I mean, build one myself. With a high power LED (490lm) and 2 older nikon batteries (for D80 ect.)

What I am looking for is a variable light angle, I bought 4 different "lenses" for the Cree MC-E LED. It should be twice as bright as a standart 20W halogen and will last mabe an hour with full power.

When/If I've gotten it to work, I'll post some results and mabe a small instruction on how to build one.
