I'm interested in two (2) of the kits minus the baseplates - So I guess that's the PL -> µ4/3 mount & the support chassis x2

Great guys, I'll get pricing out as soon as possible.

If you already have a base plate then you should be good for most scenarios. The HotRod baseplate is unique though, it is designed to give proper studio height and has multiple threaded mounting points. It can be attached to a Arri baseplate directly and all 19mm or 15mm studio accessories and supports will work. So if you plan on using a big PL mount lens (large Optimo or other) then this baseplate may be the best solution.
 
Tempting offer. I'm thinking about it Dcarstens. I'm liking the PL love.

I have yet to decide if I wanna get one... you think they'd make another deal which would give discount for the package and a camera?

You can always call up one of Abel's sales agents- they're pretty accommodating in putting together custom quotes; however, considering the high demand/backorder on the AF100 itself, I wouldn't go holding my breath on any further discount on the body for at least later into 2011. Remember the price/demand when the HVX200 made its debut?
 
This is great! My camera should be coming shipping in the next few days according to Kari at Abel Chicago. Any idea when these Hot Rod components will be ready to ship? When we get enough people to get the special pricing how will the deal go down?
 
We get the first shipment of HotRod kits in 2 weeks, and our first cameras are shipping out today!
