-|- HOSTILE DESTINATION -|- a Film by MAH

It's just Canada...what's the worst they can do to you, take away your Molson? :Drogar-Shock(DBG)::happy:

I stopped doing any of that on this side of the border since the Homeland Security stuff kicked in.

You're letting a knee high fence stop you? Jeez man, get on with it already!;) j/k, we had to steal some locations too, I know it can be nerve wracking, especially with all those windows looking over you.
My worry is getting caught on private property and getting everyone in trouble. My other issue is that I need to spend a lot of time there and I feel like we'll probably get the boot half way through. Which would really suck.

The problem is that this is located downtown. Lots of RCMP around.

If I can't find something more secluded I'll have the actors give me their input and see what they are comfortable with. :)

Yeah, I was just teasing you MAH. A lot of factors play into it, it's certainly not a light decision. Particularly when it's not just you who could be in trouble. Fortunately we were somewhat secluded, but still had a bit of traffic driving by. The only person to stop by was, oddly, some guy with a 360 degree camera rig on a blimp shooting the virtual views for the office building they plan on putting on the site. We asked if we could borrow it for an aerial shot, but alas he said no.

Thoughts? Subtle, I know.

I backed off on the crush in the second shot of each comparison. You can see things just a little more clearly. Like the dust on top of the TV monitor for example.

For those who would like to help, please let me know which shot you prefer in each set and what shows up better on your display. #1 or #2?

It looks different on my laptop versus my Mac.

Thanks,

MAH

At work they look almost identical, but I know this monitor is generally very dark. I'll check again at home where my monitors are better calibrated. Although since plenty of people will watch on crappy monitors like my work one, I guess it's a valid sample.

They look very close on my iPad as well.

Bigger difference and much more detail in the second set of pics on my iMac.

Thanks, Jason.

#2's look better on both my windows machines....I don't see too much difference on the Mac's. (all different displays).

I agree, though subtle...there's just a bit more clarity in the #2's. (IMHO)

Agreed, on my uncalibrated work laptop I can see a bit more of the background details in both #2's.

Oh... did I let the cat out of the bag? Was I the only one who knew you taped two T2i's together with some duct tape and shot 3D?
