Horror Movie

Re: Horror Movie

I like it. How did you do the tv lines? Was that done in vegas? And the guy who looks like his eyes been gouge out, how did you do that? Makeup maybe?
It takes alot to scare me, I really like the shot where it looks like someone is hiding around the corner and the one where someone is crawling. If I were to complain about anything it would be near the beginning where it shows the back of the of the girl. Anyway... cool stuff. I look to forward for the next installment.

Re: Horror Movie

I really like the shot of the child in the bathtub where you pan up to reveal the handprints. Excellent audio editing.

Re: Horror Movie

that was really well done
loved it!
I saw a few shots (only maybe 3 or 4) that could use some more colour correction
other than that, very professional looking

Re: Horror Movie

neither links work for me...

Hmmm...don't know what to tell you except "right click and save"

The eye was a mixture of practical and digital makeup.

A lot of shots need a little more color correcting...and some are just in there for filler to smooth out pacing, (the two girls walking...the back of the girl)

TV lines were after effects, (although with some tweaking Vegas would probaby do you just fine.)

My daughter was very confused by the bloody handprints...and my wife was not amused ::)

Re: Horror Movie

Yeah - I can't get either link to work either. Tried both in Explorer and Safari from my Mac.

I'd love to see it - your previous screen grabs looked so creepy!

Re: Horror Movie

Oh my... I hate horrors. They always make me so insecure :)

And after seeing this one I'm still sitting in my "chair" trying to stand up... So I must say it was well done! Congrats! It really scared me...

Re: Horror Movie

Wow, i didn't know my own state had that manny hauntings. Good flow, love the audio.

Re: Horror Movie

The WMV link worked for me and I'm on a man running safari.

Nicely done! Can't wait to see some story material.

Re: Horror Movie

dude.. that was seriously scary. the crawling thing/guy and the fingers freaking out in the pool of blood were freaky as hell. the only shot i didnt like was the one with the dude in front of the fan staring at the camera. didnt look like it fit. but whatever.. it was still awesome!

The dude in front of the fan will not be used. Once the actual scene is shot and lit properly, it will replace the poorly lit guy. Some of the rough images are nothing more than quick placeholders from location scouting or quick tests. Thanks for the encouragment! Scaring people is not as easy as I thought it would be. :(

Re: Horror Movie

I really don't know why some may see it some wont. Have you tried to right click and save as? Or copy and past the url into a new window? I really don't know.

Re: Horror Movie

Yeah man, something's up with your links, or it could be my piece of poo computer. Whenever I try to download the wmv it only downloads about 4 seconds of it. And the mov just straight up doesn't download for me.

Re: Horror Movie

I'm getting it fine. IE6. SandwichGod, download GetRight, if it cuts out you can resume it and eventually get the file. Also good if you are on dial-up and want to get like a 100mb file or just want to queue files of the web for download at a later date.

EDIT: Holy ****, that sound was AWESOME. Very spooky. That bit where there's a dude behind a glass door (or window) and he puts his hand up, the sound almost made me jump. I like the use of the opening of 'Paint it Black' ;D

Re: Horror Movie

Thanks so much for all the suggestions and compliments guys...this forum rocks. I don't know what to do about some of the connection issues. Sorry about that ???

Hopefully I'll be able to have some more plot points up very soon.

Re: Horror Movie

I really dig horror movies. You movie looks likes it's heading in the right direction. Let me know when it's finished and where to get a copy.

P.S. maybe all the hauntings are due to badger droppings seaping into the earth and stirring the dead?

Re: Horror Movie

Thanks for informing me about GetRight, Mike. Works like a charm. :D

If I knew that stuff was going to be so damn freaky I wouldn't have watched it before my beddy-by time. Now all I'll be thinking about is that guy/thing crawling into my bedroom. :shivers:

All of my thoughts of this can be summed up in this:
Please, please, make a short and post it on here!
