Horror Channel wants your films!

Maybe Fangoria DVD's producers got great material, BUT THEY CHOSE JUNK because someone's brother's best buddy made a horror film and...or someone's daughter is dating this 'hip new director/film-maker' and "Daddy you HAVE to use his stuf cuz it's so great and he's wonderful and I love him forever like that puppy you got me when I was a kid but forgot to feed so it went away to heaven!"

Heck, Horror is really the second HARDEST genre to work in. Think about it, all the monsters have been done, so it's BIGGER and BADDER monsters/devils/bogeymen. Or there's tons of gore. Did I mention it's the second hardest genre to do well? Anyone came make a horror film, just have someone jump out at the audience/characters and chop them to bits REALLY GORILY and watch everyone get freaked out.
Which leads me to this question:
What would the ULTIMATE GOREFEST be? It would be fun to write/direct/produce it...then make the sequel that TOPS IT! I'm thinking human sacrifice, cannabalizism, necrophilia, with bodies getting crushed/shredded/demolishished. eaten, abused, THEN KILLED or CREMATED! Heck, moltent lava, acid baths, electrocution, impalings, decapitations, torture, rack tortures, and the final one, slow death by a thousand cuts!
Hey, can you smell that? That faint whiff of barf? That's the movie theatre AFTER a showing of ULTIMATE GORE!
 
I rented that FANGORIA Indiefilm DVD thinking I might find something cool and it was the biggest coolectin of pure **** I had seen; actually quite encouraging. I agree; anyone can make a horror film but isn't the goal to make a horror film that truley kicks ass? Halloween, The Excorcist, Silence of the Lambs. The real journey is making a GREAT horror film.

I'm afraid I just don't have anything I think is cool enough to submit; We're working on something right now for our next short that we hope can fullfill some higher goals however.
 
I'm sure they'll do it again. To be honest, your and ExFilms' zombie valentine's short blows all the crap on the first disc away, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

funny how there isnt a channel like this.. closest is scifi

i think it has a lot to do with government and media... sends a messege and impact that government doesnt like, i still remember the 80's almost a managayy twaaaa times 99 of horror movies and the marke just vanished, fishy, almost as fishy as porn.
