Horror Channel wants your films!

J.R. Hudson

Spirit Animal
One of our goals for The Horror Channel is to give independent filmmakers a voice and avenue to have their features shown and get some exposure. In the late 70's/early 80's, it was easier for a Raimi or a Carpenter to get his work into theatres. Times have changed drastically since then, and now the indie filmmaker's best shot seems to be to languish in Direct-to-Video Hell. That's providing a distributor even picks up your work at all. No more. It's time to take back what's yours. We're giving you a chance to grow and show to the world that you have what it takes and get your well deserved national exposure.

That's awesome. I was looking forward to the channel launch at any rate and this is just flat out cool.

Yeah; The Horror Channel is a long time coming; I cannot wait. 24 hours of Horror. How cool is that? I have never really gotten into Scifi (On occasion only) but THC is going to rock. Sides; anytime a cable channel calls for your indie horror it's gotta be good.

Well technically, THC is the 'happy' part of marijuana. I wonder if that was part of their marketing....

"Let's call it The Horror Network"
"No, dude, let's call it the The Horror Channel. You got any chips?....What was the question?"

I actually work indirectly for a satellite distributor (network developer). I'm trying to get one of the sales guys to find any 'pending' information regarding the release/launch. The site still says 'early 2005'.

Should be lots of material for that channel after July's fest. If enough people submit maybe Barry or someone else could put all the films together and submit as DVXuser.

Yeah just as I thought, the program/sales managers didn't know squat. Oh well. They were all "The Horror what?"

The world needs more freaks in decision making positions

In fairness, these guys are pretty much out of the loop and have to go with whatever corporate says, I just thought they may have heard something.

LMAO!!!!

"Knock, Knock, Knock......"

"What was that?"

"That was my skull......I'm so wasted!!"

Thank you, Thank you, I'm here all week!! ~reservoir~

I dont think I have the channel :( How can i order it? I suppose if i dont have it just call them and see...

is this something you are part of John? If so, thats fOoOking cool. I have a twisted short I am going to start shooting in a month and this seems like the perfect outlet... as long as they dont censor it.

So, is this for good? Or is there a deadline and then after that they wont take any more submissions? I keep hoping that this doesn't end up like that Fangoria DVD that came out with the 'best of the best' amateur horror movies. O_o

I was unimpressed. :/ So what if it ends up like that, then they will shut it down!!! We have to submit some good shite :D
