Thanks to the wonderful people at Adobe, you can now edit 720 60p flawlessly (pending your computer can handle it, mine barely can) in both Premiere Pro and After effects. This was shot today (I'm skating so don't mind the filming) at the skatepark. Shot in 720 60p with the shutter at 1/120th, which probably wasn't high enough for the speed i put it at in adobe. This was slowed down to 20%. ummm....enjoy?

well it's just 720 60p that seems to take a lot of horsepower because editing 30p and 24p seems to work wonderfully. My specs are

AMD Athlon 5600+ 2.8 ghz dual core processor
3gb of ram
GeForce 9800+ GT video card

i would buy more ram but i'm running vista 32 bit, so adding more ram would be pointless.

presets for avchd? yeah there are in CS4, but it still needs a lot of horsepower to run 60p, there is no 60p preset.

I'm pretty sure the ghosting will go away if I raise the shutter speed, I might have to go shoot something on a sunny day

That ghosting is frame blending which AE applies when doing slow motion and it needs to create new frames. You can either do frame blending, pixel motion or select to create duplicate frames.

I see you've found the time remapping feature. :)

I'm always afraid to go under 1/3 of the original framerate, but it looks like yours turned out pretty well.

Fancy footwork too. Looks good.
