horizontal lines

hey,
i have a quick question, what causes these big horizontal lines like in the image in attached?
its only one one scene i recorded and it only lasts like 3 seconds then the rest of my footage is fine, why does this happen? and should i be worried?

Clean your heads and try to avoid reshooting on old tapestock as it heightens the risk of frame dropout occuring, which appears to be what's happening here.

Yep, that's dirty heads. Either on record or on playback; if it was during recording, your footage is permanently damaged. If on playback, try cleaning the heads and playing it again and maybe it'll come through okay.

yes it was on playback and its no big deal since this was a crappy take anyways and it didnt happen anywhere else. thanks for the info though!

On a side note... All that red!!! That's a tough one to shoot and get looking good. You might want to rethink that location and that tie. You can even see the red of the tie bleeding into the white shirt.
