Homemade spare 7.9 DC power cable

I just made a spare 7.9 DC power cable that plugs between the camera and the power supply. I would recomend one incase your other one breaks or gets lost like in my case.

This cable utilizes the DC 7.9 input behind the battery instead of the locking false battery type. The DC connectors are somewhat hard to find because of their odd size. It just so happends that Radio Shack carries them but they are not popular so they might have a limited quanity stock.

The Radio Shack part # is 274-1532 The plug has an OD of 4.0 mm with an ID of 1.7 mm. The cost is $2.49 for a package of two. Make sure the polarity is correct. Tip = positive sleave = negitive. Also after its complete, check the cable with a volt meter before you actually plug it in.

Too bad I could'nt get a false battery case from somewhere, then I could make one that locks in place.

Just thought I'd pass this along.
