Hello all :)

I know it won't impress anyone here because i saw so many nice DIY stuff here but i would like to share this idea for those who do not want to spend much on a rig like dv rig pro and all that kind of equipment.

My wife bought year ago an AB exerciser and as everyone know, when you buy such thing, you use it twice then you put it somewhere home and never use it again :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

it looks like this :

I turned it into this :

it is almost perfectly balanced, but even if i want to add weight on the back you can see i put a big "screw" (??) to put extra bodybuilding weight :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

i have added a fishing accessory (pole sytem or something...sorry for my bad english)

i just need to ad an extra fishing accessory that will enable me to have my hands free, i'll post picture soon :)

Ab exerciser : 10 euros
1st fishing accessory : 9 euros
2nd fishing (not on pics) : 9 euros

1 euros = 1,23 usd

other stuff (for the screen) is from my light magic arm (manfrotto)

:)

What a fantastic idea. Looks great. I'd like to see it in action, how it sits on your shoulder.

it sits really really well on my shoulder ! and i can add extra weight on the back if i add a mattebox + follow focus and find it to heavy

to me it is really well balanced :)

hi everyone, here is a short demo, that i have done few minutes ago

http://www.boyadjian-films.com/fredrig.mp4

basic shooting, nothing adjusted, not even M2 lens :D

SD shooting with M2 and 50mm nikon and boyadjy's special rig !

ps : that thing moving that you see on the right side of the image is my fingers as i was pulling focus while shooting and im not used to such a setup (those lenses are so small compared to original focusing gear of DVX or HVX camcorder !!

thanks monkeyking

:embarasse
i'm not sure about what f/stop means : is that "aperture" you are talking about ?
if yes, i just put f1,8 on 50 mm on nikon lens, hvx was wide open

i hope i have answered your question :)

Bravo,
that looks very easy to expand upon and add extra mounts etc,
might go troll around some of the local thrift shops tomorrow and see if I can findsomething along those lines.
As for the fishing accesories what did you use? I wasn't able to discern from a quick look.
Nice job, some detail shots of the the mounted body and the clip would be great.
