GH2 Holy sweetness... has anybody else tried out FilmConvert?

The footage is great. I think the "choppiness" is just that slow mo in the style of Saving Private Ryan. The normal footage playing at regular 24p looks perfectly smooth on my end.

Outstanding! Was this all shot with available light? What lenses?

This looks on par w/ a TV miniseries. The best "ad" for the BMC I've seen yet.

All available light (and sometimes the was not much available).
Samyang 24mm and 35mm plus an vintage KinoPrecession (Vivitar) zoom.

I slowed down the first few scenes with Premiere (50%) - Twixtor would have done a better job though.

It's a shame, YT doesn't reflect a fraction of what I can see here at uncompressed 2.5k on a calibrated 10bit production monitor.

I hear you. It's tough when you working with the original footage and then you have to upload and have it compressed.

Fear not, looks amazing. Really. Attention to detail helps but the footage shines.

Thanks.

Boy, I'd hate to think about all those programs I watch on my 73 inch TV which include shows and movies on the likes of HBO and such that are compressed. Or Apple TV 1080p showing all those amazing compressed images.

AS good as it look on your 73", it won't come close to Uncompressed 2.5K at 10 bit.
You won't be able to have an audience uncompressed 2.5k at 10bit. Do you film for you and some buds to enjoy, or to let as many people you can enjoy? Online distribution is the future of watched content, so we all better brush up on compression for online stream.

But to Frank, I have streamed this through my Apple TV to my 73 and it looks awesome. Even if it's not your 10 bits. Now I'll go stream to my 200inch projection :-).

It's called sympathy - with the artist, not the audience.

Unless you were being ironic......

At first you sounded a bit geeky, however, after review from my opinion, there is a wow factor. Quite impressive! I now understand your initial excitement. This is absolutely worth exploring.

Haha ok I stand corrected. If I didn't know what that was shot on I'd be hard pushed to tell if it was digital or film.
