So I just finished a day of shooting and put my HVX 200, 4 prime lens, and Brevis adapter into the back of my sisters SUV. We picked up her kids from school and local neighborhood friend and went to the store to get. Skim milk, smoked turkey lunch meat, and some strawberries. Random I know. We were not long in the store, about 10 minutes. We came back outside to find that the neighborhood kid friend left his door completely wide open...

...it was all there untouched. I didn't really move on the way home and just replayed how horrible my life could have been. Thank you patron saint of "HD-camera-gear-not-getting-stolen"
 
10 minutes is 10 minutes too long.

The funny thing though, last night we were shooting and had a ton of equipment out on the street in the Bronx and nothing was touched. We shot a whole block away from everything just laying on the sidewalk open and ready for the taking and no one touched it. We went inside for 3 hours to shoot and left everything on the street till 4:30am and nothing happened... in the Bronx...

Why?
 
Why what? Why didn't anyone steal or why not in the Bronx. The Bronx is notorious for being the ass end of the city. Remember the movie, Fort Apache, The Bronx? It was really like that. As a matter of fact, we were shooting in that exact area the movie was shot at and one of the producers said her husband was a cop at that precient back then and that movie was just like real life.
 
Yea "Da Bronck" ( in Washinton heights speak) Is kinda the only rough area left in NY.
 
yea its so hip the Crackheads stab you.


Actually most of the bronx is nice. Even the lower income areas arent that bad. its just that very lower tip thats spooky at night.
