Hollywood. Dead dead dead deadliy dead dead. Dead.

What, so now we resort to publicly disparaging someone's character based on career choices we have no say in? Can we get away with this in every thread now, please?

Besides, this is the third such thread designed to spread FUD on a project we still know little about. When can we have thread #4?

Disparaging his character, no.

Only his acting ability.

To believe he is in any way the best choice for a "classic" like Akira is beyond comprehension.

Of course, and that makes him a 'douche bag', right?

You've got me wrong; I'm all for name calling. I'm just glad you're leading the charge. Keep it up. I'm looking forward to a few more of these Akira threads.

Everyone has a right to their opinion.

Yours is just as valid as mine. That's how the world goes around.

Well lets hope Akira doesnt get the treatment something like Dragon Ball Z got. I friggin love the original Akira. It needs a director like Takeshi Miike with asian american actors but hey I like Keanu Reeves as hew was great in The Matrix. (When i say great i mean he wasnt some chump trying to look all pretty and important, he just played the part smoothly.)

I don't think he would have been the right pick even during his Bill & Ted days.

I agree that they should have cast it with unknowns.

For my money a better choice than a couple of the other people to whom they have been talking. I'm hoping the script I've seen is not the one they make. We'll see.
