HPX250: Holes on top

Question, the holes on the top do you think they can support the camera weight? I ask because I have a DSLR camera strap I use for my still work and my Black Rapid connector fits and I can carry the camera easily. However I don't want to strip out the hole by carrying it that way, anyone try this before? the 3/8 thread is the hole I am using.

Any thoughts?:dankk2:

I see no issue with it. For added peace of mind you could take one or two heavy zip ties and wrap them through the connector and under the handle, to take some of the weight off the threads.

So I went yesterday to get some stock footage of Chicago to use while my wife took a Photo class, and after talking to the instructor he asked if I could video for him. I was not prepaired, I changed the camera to 720p 30pn Intra 50 and set the shutter to 60 ( wasn't sure but made sense better than off?). I had 2 batteries and a 64 and 16 gb P2 carda and a cheap tripod (was mostly for walking around lock down shots) . Turned on my wave form (I didnt have a vewing monitor) and started shooting, then the light was almost of, changed to PAP1 bumped up the gain and tried to keep Barrys book in my mind about F4 is the cleanest.

End of the day, my right hand is killing me, left focus in auto looked ok I hope it is....... so this will be my first paid job using my new camera (still waiting for the rebate.......) I hope the footage looks as good as I think, well see soon.

Oh, and the hole in the top, seemed to hold quite well :-)
